The new update utilizes the robust Industry Foundation Classes (IFC) exporting features located in our IDEA Statica connection app. This format is vendor-independent, meaning it can be accessed by any Building Information Modeling (BIM) software. Now, you can guarantee that your detailers receive all the necessary information, including an accurately represented model of the connection, complete with bolts, welds, and materials. Attaining accurate exports is now as simple as a single click!
Streamlining Member Design with User-Friendly Features
Creating member designs has become simpler and more user-friendly than ever. Simply select one of the commonly modeled use cases in the wizard, which aids in quickly grasping the member and its added benefits. Additionally, with the rigid support member, you can take advantage of the straightforward input of boundary conditions.
Automatic temperature calculations
Fire design is a vital aspect of any construction project, resulting in the feature available in version 22.1. The latest update – version 23.1 takes this feature to the next level through the enhancement that we have made. We are excited to inform you that IDEA StatiCa Connection is now the only application available that can calculate the fire resistance of steel joints with ease!
Auto-design welds with ease
At IDEA StatiCa, we take pride in making sure that our users are able to use the structural designing software with ease. A great example of this can be demonstrated by allowing users to auto-design welds to estimate their total capacity with a click of a button. This means you can optimize the weld size based on the welded plate strength and shorten the design time, whilst also ensuring the safe weld size for all welds in your connection projects.
Enhanced Alerts for Safer Connections
Another new aspect of version 22.1 is the alerts in the IDEA StatiCa connection app for when welds and bolts (or bolts and prestressed bolts) are used for connecting the same plate. As a result, it reduces the thickness and ductility.
Furthermore, the feature also allows you to receive automatic warnings when an electrode stronger than the base material has been utilized.
Better unified user interface
