As a Sales Engineer, your role is to work closely with potential customers, demonstrate our solutions and develop/maintain relationships with Consulting Engineering practices and Steel Fabricators to create mindshare and generate demand for the IDEA StatiCa solutions.

It will provide you the opportunity to work with some of the biggest engineering firms in the UK that are either customers or potential customers, and also with industry associations/influencers to further increase brand awareness.

Responsibilities will include:

• Handling incoming requests and working with leads to generate opportunities
• Arrange meetings and discussions with prospects and customers.
• Demonstrate IDEA StatiCa solutions to prospects
• Manage and control sales process to achieve predictable pipeline from prospecting, qualifying, management and sales closure.
• Manage and maintain good customer relationship and service to attain excellent customer satisfaction and renewal business.
• Obtain customer feedback, valuable for improving our products, and communicate this with our development team.

General skills and experience:

• Civil or structural engineering background
• Keen interest in software products for structural engineering
• Strong presentation skills, written and oral communication
• Commercial awareness

• Experience in the construction and/or a sales role, will be added in advantage
• Self-motivation, enthusiasm and initiative – and with a level of confidence to fit quickly into a team
• Knowledge of at least one CAE/FEA software used by structural engineers like SCIA Engineer, Dlubal RFEM, Advance Design or Buildsoft. CAD (Tekla, Revit) software knowledge is a plus.

Website Development and Maintenance: Develop, update, and maintain the company website using WordPress. Ensure the site is visually appealing, user-friendly, and optimized for performance and search engines. Regularly update content and troubleshoot any issues.

Social Media Management: Oversee the company’s social media presence, create compelling content, and engage with followers to build a strong online community.

Event Coordination: Plan and execute marketing events, trade shows, and promotional activities to enhance brand visibility and generate leads.

General skills and experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
• At least 10 years of experience in marketing, with a focus on creative campaign development and execution.
• Strong creative skills and the ability to think outside the box.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient user in graphic design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Canva, etc.
• Proficiency with social media platforms and digital marketing tools (e.g., HubSpot, Google Analytics, SEO).
• Proficiency in website development and management using WordPress
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
