We develop software for structural engineers and detailers. Our development team researches, tests, and applies new methods of analyzing the behaviour of structures and their members. Based on this, we created IDEA StatiCa – software that enables engineers to work faster, evaluate requirements of the national code thoroughly, and use the optimal amount of material. For us, creating software is a way to contribute to making every new construction around the world safer and cheaper.
IDEA StatiCa UK is extremely proud to become Industry member of the British Constructional Steelwork Association Limited (BCSA), which is the national organisation for the steel construction industry....
AKTII, one of the leading and multi-awarded engineering firms in the UK, with an impressive portfolio of projects in 44 countries worldwide, has recently invested in IDEA StatiCa for the design of steel connections. ...
Eccentric connections are quite challenging. The designer must account for them in his calculations and make assumptions for their influence on each component (bolts, welds and plates). Moreover, they require connecting plates and members with unorthodox geometries that bring existing...
At IDEA StatiCa, we don't simply improve the structural design methods, we reinvent them! Our IDEA StatiCa Detail application is able to analyze and design any concrete discontinuity region using the new method CSFM (Continuous Stress Field Method) that eliminates...
Continuing the close cooperation with the iStructE, IDEA StatiCa UK will be sponsoring – and presenting – one of the most interesting conferences for 2020, the Digital design and computation conference....
Join our Connection Wednesday webinar on March 18th, to see how IDEA StatiCa was used in The Thames Tideway Tunnel – the biggest infrastructure project ever undertaken by the UK water industry. In addition, we will go through one “HelpDesk...
ARUP’s office in London has been using IDEA StatiCa since the beginning of 2016 and has successfully applied it to many of its projects. Although they have been using a wide range of software tools, the analysis and design of...
Taking a closer look at the design of truss joints, composed solely from open sections, based on David Brown's article at the NSC issue of January, and comparing the results with an IDEA StatiCa model....
Load on a curve imported from DXF reference can save you a lot of time during the input of loads for concrete structures. This new functionality can help a lot when defining shear stress flow in sections capable of transferring...
