For five consecutive years, IDEA StatiCa UK has been a proud sponsor of the IStructE Structural Awards, and this year was no exception. We had an amazing night at the IStructE Structural Awards 2023! We had the great opportunity to see each winner take the stage. This was not just a celebration of their achievements, but also a testament to the passion, innovation and dedication that structural engineering brings to the world.
Moreover, being a long-standing sponsor, we have witnessed the growth and evolution of these awards. It is always a pleasure to see new benchmarks being set by structural engineers, who highlight the vital role of a structural engineer and also their commitment to making a difference in people`s lives and environment. This alone is a strong reason why we do what we do.
IDEA StatiCa UK Presented with an Opportunity to Award a Prize to HAUT project
Additionally, IDEA StatiCa were also given the opportunity to present Arup the award for The Development of a Novel Timber-Concrete-Composite solution in High-Rise Residential Design for their HAUT Project. Their utilisation of timber as a main structural material was a strong driver in the reduction of embodied carbon. Utilising timber as a main structural material in this 73m high-rise residential building was a strong driver in the reduction of embodied carbon.
