Excellent connection design work from our customer Gyoury Self, a Structural and Civil Engineering Consultants firm based in Sussex and Hampshire, that has been using IDEA StatiCa for more than 2 years now. Gyoury Self has been involved in many large scale projects such as the re-development of Islington Square in London, the extension of Eastbourne College in East Sussex and the Royal Lancaster Hotel in London, where IDEA StatiCa was used for steel connection design and detailing.
Islington Square, London
Working in collaboration with the principal structural design engineer, Gyoury Self provided complex connection designs for the 725 tonnes of steel used to retrofit the 6-storey, Edwardian-built building at the heart of this extensive mixed use re-development project.

Royal Lancaster Hotel, London
As part of a £75m refurbishment, the Gyoury Self team provided connection designs for a series of steel beams to replace the old reinforced concrete columns. The connections were designed to enable the fixing of new steelwork to the existing building.
