IDEA StatiCa UK will be exhibiting at the 4th Hellenic Congress for Earthquake Engineering & Technology that will take place in Athens between from 5th to 7th of September, an event that is organized by the Hellenic Association for Earthquake Engineering, on account of 20th anniversary of the catastrophic earthquake that took place in Athens.
Another success story for IDEA StatiCa, as our company was the runner-up in the Innovation of the Year category! This is a big recognition of the positive impact that our unique technology has had in the daily work of structural engineers across the UK, and the hard work we have put in as a company to promote IDEA StatiCa and help the UK Steel industry in becoming more competitive in the global market.
IDEA StatiCa UK will be exhibiting in The Software in Construction Show, the first show in the UK designed to showcase the full range of software products for use specifically in the construction and civil engineering workplace. The event brings together providers of the full range of productivity-enhancing software to this rapidly growing sector.
It is a big honour for IDEA StatiCa UK to sponsor this year’s Structural Awards in London, one of the most prestigious events globally. We are looking forward to the ceremony this Friday, where we are going to give the award for the Long Span Structures category. The shortlist includes 5 amazing projects around the globe that incorporate particularly long spans, relative to the proportions of the structure. Let’s see who will be the winner!
In our continuous effort to be present in Structural Steel industry’s most important events, we are delighted to participate in UK Steel Construction Day 2018, organized by SCI, on November 8th in London, with the theme “Transforming construction: using steel to deliver greater productivity”
It has been a fantastic IDEA StatiCa User Day in London, with some impressive presentations from our customers, and lots of very interesting discussions between our customers and our management team. Judging by your participation, your questions and enthusiasm – but also from the feedback that we received from some of you the last days – we believe that the conference was rather successful and we are so thankful for that!
Congratulations to Arup for winning the Commercial Project category in the UK TEKLA AWARDS 2018! hashtag#IDEAStatiCa was also used in the project for the design of some complex steel connections, and we are really excited that Gordon Clannachan from ARUP is joining our Users Day 2018 at iStructE on October 3rd, and will share his experience using IDEA StatiCa but also the link with TEKLA Structures.
