We develop software for structural engineers and detailers. Our development team researches, tests, and applies new methods of analyzing the behaviour of structures and their members. Based on this, we created IDEA StatiCa – software that enables engineers to work faster, evaluate requirements of the national code thoroughly, and use the optimal amount of material. For us, creating software is a way to contribute to making every new construction around the world safer and cheaper.

Hellenic Congress for Earthquake Engineering

IDEA StatiCa UK will be exhibiting at the 4th Hellenic Congress for Earthquake Engineering & Technology which will take place in Athens from the 5th to the 7th of September, an event that is organized by the Hellenic Association for Earthquake Engineering, on account of the 20th anniversary of the catastrophic earthquake that took place in Athens.

The Congress aims to bring together the scientific and practising civil engineering community and present the evolution that has been achieved in the last 20 years in the valuation and impairment of seismic risk in Greece.

Except for our presence as exhibitors, our Support Manager Costis Hatzopoulos, will also present to the delegates the unique solution that IDEA StatiCa offers for the seismic design of steel connections (Capacity design), which has been so far one of the most difficult tasks for a structural engineers that design steel structures in seismic regions.

We are already looking forward to this event which will allow us to engage and discuss with Greek structural engineers how IDEA StatiCa can make them more productive and help them design safe structures.
