Two and a half years after the first launch in the UK, IDEA StatiCa has now become very popular among consulting engineers and steel fabricators across the UK, and we are honored to have as customers some of the biggest names in the industry: ARUP, Mott MacDonald, Ramboll, BuroHappold, William Hare, Caunton Engineering, Engenuiti, Price & Myers, Bourne Steel, and many others.
This first User Day is the perfect way for us to celebrate this success but also to introduce for the first time IDEA StatiCa Detail, one more innovative approach for the design/check of Concrete discontinuity regions that was developed in cooperation with the University of Zurich. Also, in cooperation with the development team of Trimble/TEKLA that is honouring us with their presence, we are going to present for the first time the link with Tekla Structural Designer, and the improved link with Tekla Structures.
47-58 Bastwick Street, London, EC1V 3PS
Wednesday 3rd October 2018
Registration opens at 09.00
Event is from 09.30 – 17.00
If you are not already a user of IDEA StatiCa, here are five great reasons why you should join us at IDEA StatiCa Users Day 2018, and it’s not just about the coffee:
Lubomir is one of the pioneers of using CAE methods in structural analysis worldwide. With his team, he has been developing tools for this industry for over 20 years – Esa Prima Win, SCIA Engineer etc. In 2009, he shifted his focus to the design of structural members, use of cloud technology and BIM adoption. He aims to fill in missing pieces in the global workflow of structural engineers and fabricators.
David has spent the last 30 years creating and managing the development of market-leading analysis & design software for the construction industry. Originally starting his development career with CSC, now Trimble, David has been an integral part of the evolution of software packages primarily for the design of steel buildings.
Gordon begun his career at ARUP in 2011 as part of the Wind Engineering team in the Advanced Technology and Research group and has spent the last 2 years in Building Engineering London (BEL E) as a Structural and Wind Engineer, having been involved in the successful delivery of several high-rise residential and commercial developments, largely based in London, through various stages of the RIBA Plan of Work.
Matthew started his career in 2007 at Mott MacDonald and has been involved in the design of many iconic structures globally. His current responsibilities include managing multi-disciplinary engineering teams, primarily in the sports building sector, as well as leading structural designs and BIM implementation for a variety of buildings projects. He is also responsible for implementing and developing BIM for structural design for Mott MacDonald’s UK building and infrastructure unit.
